The Booster group is made up of all Band and Colorguard families. If you have a son or daughter in the Edison High School Band or Colorguard, you are a member of the Booster Organization.
Booster membership is an important part of the Band and Colorguard program. Members make critical monetary donations, attend monthly meetings, vote on important issues, and volunteer for many different activities which all help to make the program run smoothly.
Booster meetings are typically held once a month, at 7:30 p.m., in the Edison band room.
A group of Band and Colorguard parents, who have been elected for Booster Executive Board positions, are referred to as the Booster Board. These people run the monthly meetings, oversee committees and fundraising activities. The Booster Board holds separate meetings each month in order to resolve issues and plan for the year’s activities and budget. The Booster Organization and all Board Members are guided by our Bylaws which are reviewed and revised every two years.
Always attend the very first Booster meeting of each school year. Find out who the Board Members are, ask about volunteering, or serve on a committee. Many critical topics are covered in the September meeting. After that, make every effort to attend as many of the monthly Booster meetings as possible so that you stay informed and involved.
