Kristin Cooley

Director

Mrs. Kristin Cooley is excited to be returning to Edison High School,where she was assistant director from 2012-2014. She has been teaching for seven years and the last five of which she has spent as the director at Talbert Middle School. While at Talbert she grew the band and orchestra from 30 students to over 120 and directed the district Honor Symphonic Orchestra for two years.

Mrs. Cooley was born in Texas, grew up in Idaho, and attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her Bachelor of Music Education. While there, she was a member of the Pride of Oklahoma marching band and performed in the pit for numerous operas and musicals. She is currently attending California State University, Long Beach, and is close to completing her Master of Arts in Music Education.

In her spare time, Mrs. Cooley enjoys reading, video games, and taking walks with her husband, Jeremy. Together they love Disneyland, singing, and constantly discussing how to improve their teaching. They live with their cat, Pickle, who loves chin scratches and belly rubs.
